At the centre of the brouhaha, which caught the attention of horde of air travelers who besieged the Benin Airport located in the highbrow area of the Heart Beat state, was a breach of contract estimated at over N1.5 million.
It was indeed an ugly sight on Wednesday at the airport to behold the renowned actor engage one Chibueze Uchenna, the Managing Director of Chez International Limited in a squabble that took the spirited efforts of security operatives at the area to separate both parties.
The film producer was said to have traced Jim Iyke from Asaba to Benin City in his red Range Rover jeep with registration number Abuja 15 SUN.
Both parties had engaged each other in a shouting match and later fisticuffs that attracted several standbys which witnessed the show of shame.
At the end of the drama, Jim Iyke sustained some bruises from the squeeze from Uchenna before the intervention of the airport operatives.
The matter was later taken to the airport station located on the busy airport road in the capital where the two parties painted a grim picture of how the business deal they entered into went sour before one Inspector Michael Johnson, in charge of the divisional station.
According to Uchenna, his firm contract agreement with the Nollywood actor stood at about N1.5 million, made up of twenty eight scenes.
He explained that the contract was yet to be completed, with two more scenes remaining, when Jim Iyke bolted without enough reasons for the action.
But the apparently aggrieved movie star was forced to sign an undertaking with his client after he had cut his flight short to enable him resolve the imbroglio.
