RAVE of the moment music sensation, Hakym has given winner of the last edition of Big Brother Africa TV reality show, Nigeria’s Karen Igho, her first music break as he featured her in his wave making new video, Scoobi Doo remix. Rapper Eldee (The Don) starred in the song and video that is enjoying wide review across the country. Karen looks absolutely ravishing in Scoobi Doo. Hakym is signed on to Serengeti Music.
Hakym who had never met Karen in person before the day of the video shoot early October, said he was amazed by the BBA winner’s down to earth attitude to work. “I have always known that Karen is free spirited just by watching her on BBA”, says Hakym adding, “but I had no idea how professional and downright funny she is. She cracked me up on set with her jokes. I think I fell in love with her work ethics and Jovial spirit immediately,” the young star said.
Hakym was also full of commendations for Eldee who he described as his mentor. He said: “Eldee is perfection personified plus he is one of the nicest people in the game, even though he is a very busy artiste. He came on time (on the day of the shoot) and did his part like the Don he is. He ‘killed’ his part on the video just like he killed his verse on the song. He is my mentor. Fresh like me.”
Scoobi Doo remix is Hakym’s first single Serengeti Music record label, up until now, he was known for his R&B hit entitled Dey Dere.
This sensational singer is also a creative writer and producer. His unique vocal ability plus a blend of creative, rich jonzing lyrics makes Hakym unique among his peers in the music sector at the moment. He’s been underground but right now he is set to take his rightful place in the music world in Nigeria and across Africa.
Serengeti Music media company, Media Image Managers in a statement said Scoobi Doo remix video directed by Clarence Peters is already causing some ripple effect in the industry. “Scoobi Doo remix video is already been branded by critics as one of Clarence Peters best works because apart from the exceptional performances by Hakym, Eldee, Karen and the gorgeous models, Clarence creatively made use of Nigerian made fabrics (Ankara) to form the major backdrop of the video, that and his expertise at blending colours and odd camera angles set this video apart.”
Hakym added: “Scoobi Doo remix video will not only increase the sales of Ankara, it will also sell my brand to the world, which is BFN: Bold, Fresh and Nice,” he submitted.
