As reported in our previous publication, Nollywood’s controversial producer and director, Dickson Iroegbu is set to create more controversies for himself by releasing a movie on gays.
The movie, which has got a title called ‘Law 58?, is set to hit the market soon. The movie stars Kanayo O Kanayo, controversial actress, Halima Abubakar, Clarion Chukwuka and other actors.
Dickson, who once had a misunderstanding with Actors’ Guild of Nigeria (AGN) president, Segun Arinze, initially contacted Desmond Elliot and Mike Ezuruonye for the film but they categorically rejected the offer to act in the film.
The movie, ‘Law 58? tells the story of the practice of gay in our society. Not long ago, lawmakers in Nigerian passed a bill against the practice of same sex marriage in the country, putting a 14-year-jail term on those caught involving in the act.
Is the movie a no brainer and do you think it’s worth a production which constitute as a means of subtly propagating gay issues?
